윤희원 이학갈비 회장이 ‘대한민국칭찬주인공’ 인천시 8호이자 전국 제393호로 선정됐다.

윤 회장이 이끄는 ㈜이학은 “노인 공경은 인간의 기본”이라는 철학
아래 지난 20년간 꾸준히 경로 효친 문화를 실천해왔다.
특히 지역 어르신들을 직접 초청해 식사를 대접하고 감사의 마음을 전하는
‘경로잔치’는 기업 차원을 넘어 지역 공동체 행사로 자리 잡았다.
올해 역시 4월 15일 오전 10시, 인천 연수구 이학갈비 연수점에서
약 600명의 어르신을 초청하는 대규모 행사가 예정되어 있다.
이번 행사는 단발성 이벤트가 아닌,
전국 8개 지점이 함께 이어온 지속적 사회공헌 활동이라는 점에서
의미가 크다.

제작진은 수상자를 직접 찾아가는 ‘깜짝칭찬카메라’를 통해
감사와 존경의 메시지를 현장에서 전달하고,
이를 영상 콘텐츠로 제작해 국내외 플랫폼에 확산시킬 계획이다.
이는 기존의 단순 보도 형식을 넘어, 현장성과 감동을 결합한
‘체험형 콘텐츠’로 진화하려는 전략으로 해석된다.
시청자와 시민이 함께 공감하고
참여하는 구조를 통해 ‘칭찬 문화’를 하나의 사회적 운동으로 확장하려는 시도다.
‘대한민국칭찬주인공’ 프로젝트는
2019년 박항서 감독을 1호로 시작해 현재까지
정치·경제·문화·종교 등 다양한 분야에서 총 395명의 인물을 발굴해왔다.
경쟁과 갈등 중심의 사회 분위기 속에서 ‘격려와 인정’이라는
새로운 가치를 공론장으로 끌어올렸다는 점에서 긍정적인 평가를 받고 있다.
전문가들은 윤희원 회장의 이번 선정이 단순한 개인 영예를 넘어,
지역사회 공동체 회복의 중요한 신호가 될 수 있다고 분석한다.

Yoon Hee-won, Chairman of Ihak Galbi, has been selected as the 8th “Praiseworthy Person of Korea” in Incheon and the 393rd nationwide, in recognition of his long-standing dedication to community service and the practice of filial piety.
Under his leade
rship, Ihak Co., Ltd. has promoted the philosophy that “respecting the elderly is a fundamental human value.” For the past 20 years, the company has consistently organized community-based events, inviting local seniors to share meals and express gratitude—transforming simple acts of giving into a lasting cultural tradition.
This year’s event will take place on April 15 at 10:00 AM at Ihak Galbi Yeonsu Branch in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, with approximately 600 senior citizens invited. Notably, this initiative has been continuously carried out across all eight branches nationwide, demonstrating a sustainable model of corporate social responsibility.
The event is jointly hosted and organized by CCBS Korea Broadcasting (“Let’s Praise News”), Mugunghwa Newspaper, and the Federation of Praise Committees (Chairman Baek Jong-chan). The production team plans to deliver messages of gratitude and respect directly to the award recipient through the “Surprise Praise Camera,” producing on-site video content to be shared across domestic and global platforms.
This approach represents a shift beyond traditional reporting, evolving into an “experiential content” strategy that combines realism and emotional engagement. By encouraging public participation, it aims to expand the culture of praise into a broader social movement.
The “Praiseworthy Person of Korea” project began in 2019 with football coach Park Hang-seo as its first honoree. Since then, it has recognized 395 individuals across various sectors—including politics, economy, culture, and religion—contributing to the spread of a culture of encouragement and recognition in a society often marked by competition and conflict.
Experts note that Chairman Yoon’s recognition goes beyond individual honor, signaling the potential restoration of community values. In the face of rapid aging, private-sector initiatives that promote respect for the elderly may play a meaningful role in strengthening social cohesion.
Attention is now focused on whether this culture of praise and filial piety, starting in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, can expand nationwide—proving once again that small acts of kindness can create meaningful social change.
